This years MTV Austrialia Awards should be fun. Snoop Dogg is nominated for the "Television Moment" Award because as he was being banned from the country, an advertisement featuring Snoop looking for a home in Sydney on a pervious tour of the country was airing. The guy who banned him, Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews is also nominated for an award, he is the only nominee for the "Bad Karma" award, since he made statements like "he [Snoop] doesn't seem the sort of bloke we want in this country," for defining ‘bad hair day’ and for all of the above, "especially the hair, and the Snoop Dogg thing."

Wyclef Jean will host the show, saying "Look out, I am bringing the Carnival down under for one whirlwind MTV ride" continuing, "You already know that MTV Awards Shows around the world know how to bring the house down....and with me who knows what will happen." Other artists who will appear on the the show include 50 Cent, Eve, Fergie, Lupe Fiasco and more.

The show will air on April 28th featuring eight live musical performances and eleven awards presented across all genres in music, film, television and sports. In the viewers choice category, Lupe Fiasco is nominated for Best Live Performance (Snow Jam), 50 Cent’s "Ayo Technology" is nominated for Video of the Year, while hometown rappers Bliss n Eso are up for the Good Karma award for their charity single "Bullet and a Target."
