Snoop Doog & Priority Records Given 3 Weeks To Settle Their Lawsuit

Snoop Dogg sued Priority Records back in 2006 after, he claims, they failed to pay him a $950,000 advance for his 2000 album, The Last Meal, plus he says that Priority released a greatest hits album without his concent. Priority replied by saying Snoop waited to long to file the suit and has asked that it be thrown out. The two parties recently told the courtrs that they were close to a settlement but now according to the Associated Press, Judge Helen I. Bendix issued a ruling that they now have three weeks to settle the $2 million dollar lawsuit. The judge ordered both parties back to court on March 26th for a status report, when she will then either schedule a trial-setting conference or refer the case to the Superior Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, depending on what she hears.
