Snoop Faces Four Years On Gun & Drug Wrap

Snoop Dogg will be arraigned on felony charges for sale or transportation of marijuana and possession of a firearm in Los Angeles County Superior Court today (April 11).

The charges, which were announced by Los Angeles County prosecutors yesterday (April 10), stem from the rapper's arrest at Burbank Airport on October, last year, in which authorities discovered a gun and marijuana in his vehicle while approaching him for a traffic violation.

According to the Associated Press, the prosecutors said that they were unable to prove that the gun found in Snoop's car that day belonged to him, but that a later search of his home turned up another firearm.

Snoop, who faces up to four years in state prison if he is convicted on both charges, is being charged as a convicted felon for the possession of a firearm due to his 1990 conviction for drug possession.
