Snoop Settles Lawsuit, Gives Fans A Chance To Be In His Video

As we previously reported, Snoop Dogg was suing his former record company, Priority Records, alleging that Priority failed to consult him prior to releasing a greatest hits CD. Snoop said it was a breach of contract and alleged the company owed him fees of $2 million. Now according to the UK press association, Snoop has agreed on fees and advances from a recording contract with the label that goes back to 1998. "I don't believe a settlement would have been reached unless both sides were happy," Priority's lawyer, David Steinberg said.
Snoop is also making news as he recently partnered with online entertainment trailblazer JibJab to offer users the opportunity to see themselves in his smash "Sensual Seduction" video. Using the technology known as "Starring You!", JibJab allows users to upload their faces from photos into the program and place them directly into videos. "At Interscope Geffen A&M, we are constantly exploring innovative new ways to connect our artists with their fans," said Ted Mico, the head of Interscope Geffen A&M's digital department. "JibJab's 'Starring You!' tied in perfectly with the numerous digital initiatives we have underway here at Interscope Geffen A&M."
