Well the answer that everyone has wanted to know is finally here. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office, UGK member Pimp C, died due to prescription cough syrup and a preexisting sleeping condition. Ed Winter, the chief assistant coroner, said that Pimp C died from taking Promethazine and Codeine (often known as "sizzurp" when mixed with candy flavoring) while he had sleep apnea". "Sleep apnea, you stop breathing," Winter told The Houston Chronicle.
"Coupled with a medication that suppresses your respiratory abilities,
you end up with an accidental death."
The concoction also took the lives of legendary Houston DJ, DJ Screw in 2000 and rapper Big Moe, who died of a heart attack in 2007.
