Pimp C , one half of the Houston duo UGK was released from the hospital on Wednesday (April 19 ) with minor injuries after being involved in a car accident in Port Arthur, Texas earlier that day.
According to reports, Pimp C (born Chad Butler) had just left a video shoot for his single "Pouring Up" and was near Gulfway Drive and Kansas Avenue when a vehicle being chased by pursuing gunmen ran a red light and crashed into the rapper's Bentley.
Pimp C's bodyguard and an unidentified person were also in the car with the rapper when the accident occurred. The unidentified person was treated and released on Wednesday evening along with Pimp C while the bodyguard is still in the hospital.
According to Port Author authorities, an automatic rifle was seized and three people were arrested at the scene. They believe the chase that occurred before the collision was gang-related and had no connection to Pimp C.
In related news, Pimp C is currently gearing up the release of his second solo album Pimpalation which is slated to hit stores on June 13th.
The album will boast appearances from Mike Jones , Slim Thug, Scarface, Jody Breeze, Jazze Pha , Devin The Dude, Jagged Edge , Paul Wall , Webbie and his group mate Bun B.
