Usher is set to debut number one once again. His new album, Here I Stand, was released Tuesday and so far the unweighted first-day sales as of the close of business yesterday it had sold over 146,000 copies. Mariah Carey's E=MC2 sold 154,000 the first day and ended up with a first weeks sales total of 463,000.

Although the sales are looking good for Usher so far, it's not close to his past performance. Usher's last album, Confessions, topped the charts selling over 1.1 million copies it's first week, with 9.54 million sold to date. Confessions is the second biggest seller among male solo singers, behind only Garth Brooks' "Ropin' the Wind," which has shifted 9.6 million.
