Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj has been in the headlines quit a few times this first month of 2014, but Nicki has kept to herself for the most part working on her upcoming solo album. Now Nicki has made headlines again, but this time she is on the cover of the new ESPN Magazine with superstar basketball player.

The Young Money star landed the front cover of the latest issue of ESPN with Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant. Rappers Eminem and Kendrick Lamar have also landed a feature in the magazine.

A leak has revealed Nicki Minaj and Kobe Bryant as the faces of the upcoming issue of ESPN Magazine. The offering has been dubbed the “The Music Issue” and will also feature stories on Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and look back on Janet Jackson’s infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction ten years ago. Not much more information is available, but stay tuned and we’ll be sure to keep you updated. (XXL Mag)

Nicki recently spoke on putting all priorities on the back burner to strictly focus on her upcoming new LP.

“I already started, and I’m going home, actually tomorrow to really start. Like, I’m taking two months to just lock in. So I’m really excited, and the people that have been working with now have been people that I haven’t worked with before, so it’s like they’re bringing a new sound to the album that I’ve never experimented with. … I’ve got so much to talk about. In the features, I don’t really delve into no deep sh*t. And with the album, thank God, I’ve experienced so much in the last year-and-a-half that there’s so much for me to talk about. I know my fans are gonna be excited about it.” (MTV)
