Atlanta rapper Big Boi has officially confirmed the plans for him and Andre 3000 to join forces again after 20 years for the highly-anticipated Outkast reunion by announcing numerous concerts lined up this year. Now Big Boi has come forth to explain the reasoning for the reunion.
Big Boi explained how big it was for them to reunite after 20 years and still deliver quality music. He also gave credit to the loyal Outkast fans who helped fuel the need for a reunion.
“We’re celebrating 20 years, a milestone in our careers,” Boi said in an interview when asked about the OutKast reunion. “It’s for the fans. I can’t wait to get on the stage with my brother, Three Stacks, you know, kill ’em. It’s a long time, you know, to still be doing music at a high caliber and having fun doing it.” (REVOLT TV)
Queen Latifah recently took to her twitter account to address the rumors going around that she announced that there will be a new Outkast album coming soon.
PS: the rumor mill says I predicted an @Outkast album…except I didn’t. Sorry to get twitter a flutter. XO
