Big Boi Heads To Def Jam

Big Boi, one half of Outkast, announced that he will be leaving his longtime home at Jive Records and heading over to a new situation with Def Jam. Big Boi says the deal is pretty much done, "the lawyers just have to finish their lawyering." Soon as the deal is done, Big Boi says he plans to release his new "Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty" album. The new deal will reunite Big with L.A. Reid who the Outkast member says has "been with us since the beginning."

The solo album from Big Boi was set initially set to drop last year, but has faced several delays since. Last July Big Boi released the video for "Somethings Gotta Give" with Mary J. Blige plus many other tracks that are reportedly from the album including "Ringtone" [listen here] and "Royal Flush" [listen here] (featuring Andre 3000 and Raekwon) have hit the net.
