Big Boi of Outkast doesn't really care that he was left off MTV's Hottest MCs In The Game list two years in a row. Big Boi told MTV news "I don't know if it's an underestimation," he said. "I just don't really put myself out there like that. I draw enough attention to myself when I step in the room. Lyrically and as being an artist, I have nothing to prove. Me and Dre have done everything there is to do. We've won the Super Bowl of music. Hip-hop artists won Album of the Year at the Grammys. After that, what can you do? All the rhymes are definitely vicious. Once people get the whole Big Boi album and put it under a microscope, they'll see."
As we previously reported, Big Boi is set to put out his first real solo album called Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. Andre 3000 will supply Big Boi with beats for the new solo album for his fellow members. Big Boi told
MTV “He has a couple beats for me,but right now he’s in Japan working
on his clothing line” He went on to say “So when he gets back, if time
permits, we’ll get on that. But we gonna record those songs anyway.
He’s done more than enough that’s needed right now.”
