Although he signed with Bad Boy last year, it was announced today that rapper Red Cafe is officially part of Diddy's new Bad Boy deal through Interscope Records. "Red’s lyrical skill and passion is unique. [His] raw talent brings a new sound and fresh perspective from the streets. I look forward to him sharing his talent with the world."
Now that he is backed by a major label, Red Cafe says he plans to drop his debut "Red October" album later this year. The new single called "Im Ill" features Fabolous, who can be seen with Diddy and Red Cafe below. "I’m so excited," Café explained. "I’ve got the best of both worlds; Diddy representing the streets and Akon bringing a worldly perspective to the project."
In related news, Diddy recently signed an exclusive deal with Macy's to sell his clothing line, Sean Jean. "I got my start at Macy's when I was 16 [years old], selling shirts and ties," Combs told The New York Post in an interview yesterday, adding that he had worked at the New Rochelle, New York store. "To come full circle like this is a dream come true."
