Diddy recently talked about Lil Wayne and the rise of his Young Money label comparing it to the Bad Boy dominance in the early 1990s. According to Diddy, Lil Wayne and Young Money (which includes Drake and Nicki Minaj) has the talent to become the iconic mogul with the microphone and behind the desk.
"I nod my head to Wayne, I tip my hat to him," Diddy said in an interview. "I told him at the BET Awards. I said, 'You doing the new generation of Bad Boy. You're doing what we did back in '94. That's really creating a movement.' I tip my hat to him, but now I gotta watch him because he's competition. But he's doing his thing. He's gone from artist to label mogul, so you have to give him his respect."
In related news, yesterday an ex-Bad Boy artist Mark Curry came forward to say Biggie Smalls was trying to leave Bad Boy Records and create his own record label with Junior M.A.F.I.A. prior to being fatally shot back in 1997. [Mark Curry Says Exposes Diddy - Watch Here]
