Crooked I Leaves Death Row

After five long years waiting for his highly anticipated album release, Crooked I has officially severed all ties and legally left, Death Row Records.

Last month, we reported that Crooked I had left Death Row Records, which was true, but wasn't 100% finished as Crooked I was still ironing out the legal issues.

Following our report, Death Row Records spokesperson, Jonathan Wolfson, released a statement saying Crooked I may be jealous of Kurupt's new album dropping before his and that he was still legally signed with Death Row.

"Crooked I is still signed," Wolfson said in a past released statement. "This all stems from the upcoming release of Kurupt's album 'Against The Grain.' There might have been a jealously element because Kurupt's new album is dropping first."

JayZ Video Causes Problems

JAY-Z's gritty new video "99 Problems," which features his own fictionalized murder, caused a battle between the rapper and MTV. The network asked director Mark Romanek, who also did Johnny Cash's "Hurt" clip, to edit ten scenes but he instead agreed to blur certain images. "I feel like Madonna," Jay-Z told Rolling Stone. "We're not interested in what MTV likes or doesn't like. If you make something good enough, MTV will want to show it." The network is airing the video after 6 p.m.

Ashton gets Punkd by Black Eyed Peas

One of Ashton Kutcher's latest "Punk'd" episodes recently went awry when members of The Black Eyed Peas and their entourage began fighting with fake cops in on the prank.

According to Webx.com, front man Will. I. Am was an accomplice to punk his band mates Taboo and Apl. De. Ap. However, crewmembers reportedly grew heated and susp!cious of a prank involving cops.
