Investigators believe the shootings of people with close ties to rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight were designed to get at Knight himself. In the most recent slaying, shooters ambushed Wardell "Poochie" Fouse, a longtime Knight confidant late last month. Gunmen fired 10 shots into his back as he rode on a motorcycle in Compton, Calif.
Previous victims include Knight's best friend and chief bodyguard, and the man who created the logo for Knight's label Death Row Records. He was shot to death near a take-out stand in South Central Los Angeles. All of the killings are unsolved. |

It took 12 years, but 213 are finally releasing an album according to reports from MTV.
Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Warren G, who named their trio after the Long Beach area code more than a decade ago, will unleash their first record in November.
"We've been in the laboratory doing real good music, so we should have a single for y'all maybe in about three weeks, maybe a month," Snoop said at a recent video shoot. "It's hot. ... The West Coast is back, believe it!"
The trio are recording with the Neptunes, along with many of the same producers behind Snoop's recent Paid Tha Cost to be Da Boss, including Jelly Roll.
"I'm just trying to put together the best record to represent 213, since we never came with a record before, nobody never really heard us as a group," Snoop said. "We're really getting each others' back on every record. It makes the job that much easier and more like team ball. I play team ball better anyways."
Snoop has yet to title the 213 album, but he does have a name for his next solo album, Snoopafly, which he said will be executive produced by P. Diddy. |

According to AllHipHop, Styles P of The Lox/D-Block was released from a New York upstate prison about 10 a.m. today (August 4), greeted by Dee & Wahh of Ruff Ryders, fans, journalists and his wife. For the last 8 months, the rapper has made the Valhalla Correctional Facility his home.
A pair of correctional officers, who monitored the press and the paparazzi, escorted the rapper to a haven receptive to photos and cameras. After planting a kiss on his wife, a 20-pounds lighter Styles stated, “The hardest is back. What more can I say?”
Super Mario, president of D-Block Records, had much more to maintain about the value of Styles to D-Block Records as a company and The Lox as a group.
“It’s a good look. It’s just what we needed. Styles brings a whole different attitude to [The Lox] as well as a whole ‘nother brain as the co-CEO of D-Block. He’s different from Jada and Sheek. That’s why they call them the Holy Trinity – they are beautiful together,” Mario said to AllHipHop.com. “ |

As already known, Tha Realest is dissing Ja Rule at the outro of "Somebody Gonna Die 2nite" on Yukmouth's third LP, Godzilla, due out August 5th 2003. Originally the song was over six minutes long and featured two verses by Tha Realest, reports his official website, ThaRealest.com.
Rap-A-Lot Records removed his first verse because it was dissing Ja Rule and the second because it was too long. As late as last Friday, Fatal recorded his verse for the song and Tha Realest recorded the 45 seconds long outro, which still is dissing Ja Rule, but without mentioning his name.
