Although almost every rapper has expressed interest in wanting to work with her, singer Sade recently talked about not working with artists like Kanye West and Drake, saying she tries to stay away from doing guest features. Sade says she does not like to work outside of her "safety" zone. "I don't think they have contacted me," she explained in a recent interview. "I've never collaborated because I've always avoided working outside my safety zone — I can be exactly who I am and can fail or success within the moment. I feel safe working like I do. I wouldn't want to work in a situation where I am expected to deliver because I think I wouldn't deliver."
Last November, Drake mentioned his intentions of reaching out to Sade for a collaboration on his upcoming "Thank Me Later" debut album. "I really, really wanna do a joint with Sade," he revealed in an interview. Kanye West also recently welcomed Sade back to the music game, praising her first single, "Soldier Of Love" (also the name of her album). "THIS IS WHY I STILL HAVE A BLOG…," Kanye wrote December 10th on his blog. "TO BE A PART OF MOMENTS LIKE THIS… NEW SADE… HOW MUCH BETTER THIS THAN THAN EVERYTHING ELSE?"
In related news, Sade's new "Soldier Of Love" album debuted number one this week. The new project on Epic Records sold over four-hundred and eighty-thousand copies in it's first week on the charts.
