Young Guru Set To Lecture At 13 Colleges About The Importance Of Audio Engineering

Posted By on March 7, 2013

Young Guru, the A&R/engineer behind much of Jay-Z’s masterpieces, is easily recognized as one of the best in his field. With a precise focus and an unbelievable ear, Guru has won the praise of so many of his peers as well as artists throughout the industry. The 3-Time Grammy Award nominee has been slated to make a 13 city, 13 college tour to lecture on the importance of audio engineering and music creation.

The Delaware native is also a good standing member with the Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing Advisory Council.

Guru, made a name for himself by effectively working with the recording genius of Jay-Z, who is known to hear a track and without writing a word step to the mike and lace a track in completion in one take. As Jay-Z represents the expressed and received side of that dynamic, Guru is just as important in the process of capturing those miraculous moments.
