Lauryn Hill Faces Eviction From New Jersey Residence

Reports have surfaced that after four years of residency, Entertainer Lauryn Hills is now facing eviction for failure to pay rent. Reports say that the landlord of the Fugees co-founder file recently file suit in order to have the songstress evicted.

Lauryn Hill, one of the founding members of the Fugees is finding this week to be a difficult one and it does not seem that things will be improving anytime soon. This week, while the famed entertainer prepares to be sentenced next week for failure to pay three years of unfiled taxes, a sentence that could very well see her serving felony prison time, she also found that she was facing another legal matter.

In the last 24 hours Hill’s landlord filed an eviction lawsuit to have her removed from her residence of four years. Apparently the singer has not paid rent at the residence since March and the landlord is seeking to evict her from the apartment.

This marks the beginning of a stressed filled next several days as Hill prepares to be sentenced for tax evasion. Her sentencing is scheduled for Monday, April 22, 2013. Hill has claimed that threats against her and her family was the cause for her becoming a recluse and not paying her taxes. It is not yet clear just how much time the singer could get, but it would be a tough end to a long journey if she were to receive any significant time.
