The numbers are in for the first week sales from the June 18th releases from Kanye West, J.Cole, and Mac Miller. Much of the buzz surrounding these releases began when J. Cole moved up his album release date to compete directly with Yeezus.
Kanye West’s sixth album, “Yeezus” sold 328,000 copies in its first week while J.Cole’s “Born Sinner” was close behind selling 297,000 copies.
Other albums who didn’t quite reach Cole and Kanye’s numbers included Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With the Sound Off, which sold 101,000 copies and Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, who sold 65,000 copies of her fourth solo album, Talk A Good Game.
