Pitbull Beats DUI Charges Avoids Jail

Pitbull, better known to the government as Armando Perez, beat his 2007 DUI charge recently and avoided jail time. A jury in Miami-Dade county found Pitbull not guilty of driving under the influence and he was acquitted late Thursday (July 9th). Pitbull's lawyers argued that there was inaccuracy behind his 2007 arrest and officer's tactics led to false charges.
The 28-year-old rapper was charged back in December of 2007 with driving under the incluence of alcohol and speeding after local police administered a field sobriety test which they said the Miami rapper failed. His lawyers later argued that the tests were inconclusive because they were giving on a ramp and not a smooth surface.
