C-Murder, younger brother of Master P, will have his day in court on September 17, the day his second-degree murder trial begins. Currently being held without bail in Louisiana’s Jefferson Parish jail, C-Murder maintains that he is innocent and that his case is one of mistaken identity.
C-Murder, who entered a plea of not guilty, is accused of shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas after an argument at Club Platinum in Harvey, Louisiana, in January. He was charged with second-degree murder and then ordered held without bail after authorities claimed he bribed two Jefferson Parish officers to smuggle in a cell phone and charger. Prosecutors believe that the rapper might have been using the phone to get friends to intimidate potential witnesses.
C-Murder’s latest release, Tru Dawgs, is currently Number 163 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
