Ed Lover, the New York radio personality on Power 105.1, and old host of Yo MTV Raps, is beinig sued by a woman who says Ed punched her in the face at a Manhattan club in 2005. The New York Post is reporting that the suit, that was filed in a Manhattan Supreme Court last week, states that Latitia Belford was humiliated when Ed Lover characterized her as "being drunk and sloppy and asking for his autograph." Ed was arrested and charged with assault and harassment after the incident at the Duvet nightclub. He says he struck her in self-defense after she threatened to hit him with a bottle. Either way, she recieved 20 stiches for the gash on her face and Ed later accepted a plea deal from prosecutors, which was reduced to the charge of disorderly conduct. The woman is now irate that he only got a seven day sentence of community service and is also suing the owners of the club saying they didn't provide adequate security.
