Foxy Brown Gets Good Probation Report

Posted By on January 19, 2007

Rapper Foxy Brown, who has been attending anger management classes under terms of her probation for her infamous nail salon fight, left court very happy Wednesday (January 17).

The 26-year-old rapper (real name: Inga Marchand) says her probation has been good for her "because probation forces you into structure. It is making me grow up. I have matured a lot since I started the anger management," according to the Associated Press.

With her lawyer present, Brown received good word from Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson, who she had hostile exchanges with Jackson before being sentenced to three years probation and anger management classes.

"This is only the first time in two years that I'm pleased with Judge Jackson," said Brown outside the courtroom. "She got an excellent report from probation."

The judge sentenced Brown in October after the rapper pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor assault charges. She was accused of assaulting an employee and smacking another at Manhattan's Bloomie Nails in August of 2004.

Brown is due back in court March 15.
