MTV or murder INC?

Today, Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc. Records took over Music Television’s “Shore Thing Direct Effect” program. The show was hosted by DJ Clue & LaLa. Four of Murder Inc.’s heavyweights made appearances on the program including Ja Rule, Caddillac Tah, Charli Baltimore, and Vita all who joined CEO Irv Gotti. Unfortunately, the princess of R&B/Hip-Hop Ashanti could not make it to the program because she is busy promoting her smash debut self-titled album.

We have some big news for the millions of Murder Inc fans out there. Ja Rule confirmed once again that he is sticking to his original plan of doing two more solo albums and then he will be dedicating his career to films. Caddillac Tah said today that he has completed his solo album! As well as Tah’s album being completed, Charli Baltimore said that she has been recording her solo album for 2 weeks and it’s already halfway done. Chuck went on to say that her career has been a “rocky” road since trying to come up in 1998. Vita said she is currently working on her solo album and that when her album drops everyone will know that it’s poppin. Murder Inc CEO Irv Gotti said to look out for Caddillac’s album to drop next after the “Irv Gotti Presents…THE INC” compilation. So right now the release schedule looks like this: Irv Gotti Presents…THE INC, Cadillac Tah solo album, Charli Baltimore & Vita solo album, and Ja Rule’s “Last Temptation.”

When a few members of the Murder Inc. camp were questioned about their favorite albums, Charli Baltimore responded that her all time favorite is Nas’ “It Was Written.” Vita said her favorite album was the great legend Tupac with the “Makaveli: The Don Killuminatti” album on Death Row Records. When Ja Rule was asked about his favorite album, he jokingly responded with “Irv Gotti Presents…THE INC.” In other great news, Ja Rule’s “Pain Is Love” is still on the charts for the 38th week, currently sitting in at the #62 position. Ashanti remains strong at #7 with her self-titled debut currently certified 2 million sales and counting. Ja Rule has been certified 3 million sales and is closing in on 4 million. If you haven’t already picked up these albums, be sure to get out there and support Murder Inc and these quality releases. Irv Gotti describes the upcoming Murder Inc. compilation as an album that has a little bit for everyone including the R&B hits and the hard hitting gangsta cuts. The production on the album is excellent all the way through and as well as the smash hit “Down 4 U” the album includes many other hits.
