Remy Ma was set to find out her fate today in Mahattan's Criminal Court today (3/27) as the jury finished deliberating on her recent case. The Grammy nominated rapper was found guilty on four charges including assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon. As the verdict was being read, Remy's brother shouted "This is bullsh*t" and was ordered out of the courtroom. As Remy was cuffed and escorted out of the court she could be heard crying out "Oh my God." Ivan Fisher, Remy's lawyer, said "We are very disappointed with the jury's verdict," continuing "Remy wasn't ready for this. We plan to appeal all of the assault related charges. She didn't tell her 8-year-old son, who she left this morning [she would not be returning home]. " The victim of the case, Makeda barnes-Joseph, celebrated the verdict and her mother said "This is wonderful," continuing "God is good. There is no secret to what God can do. He reveals everything." The judge denied a request by Remy's lawyer to allow her time at home before being sentenced. Remy's brother, who we mentioned earlier, said "They all lied, they lied to the police and they lied on the stand." Remy Ma faces up to 25 years in prison, a sentence date has not be set yet.
