Skeme, an Inglewood Emcee, says that he is very close with TDE and that he has been in heavy talks with them about maybe working out a deal. He admits that although this could lead to a deal, nothing has been set in stone yet.
“Them are my brothers and I always have respect for TDE CEO Top Dawg. That’s big homie,” Skeme revealed in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX contributor Bruce Smith.
“It’s yet to be seen where exactly I’m gonna go. I’m just trying to make the right move. The next move has to be the best one,” he added. “As a hustler, that’s how I feel. With that being said, I am very close to TDE, them is the homies, and we are in heavy talks. It could be something.”
Skeme is no stranger to the members of Top Dawg Entertainment. He has collaborated with several of them, including the “I Do This” remix with Kendric Lamar and Kidz With Gunz”, and his collabo with ScHoolboy Q.
Skeme has also released a few independent projects of his own, including Pistol and Palm Trees, Alive & Living and The Statement. He also has a new project, “Inglewood, which is due to be released later this year.
