Ray J Says “I Hit It First” Nothing to Get Upset About

Posted By on April 12, 2013

As he is consistently being bombarded by questions concerning his latest release “I Hit It First”, R&B Singer, Ray J, insists that the song was not meant to fuel any fire and that there is nothing to be upset about. Many have postulated that Ray J’s latest single is about Kim Kardashian and is meant to fuel anger from Kanye West.

During an interview earlier this week with Shade 45’s “The All Out Show”, the singer, once again, refused to comment on who the song is speaking of and insisted that the song is more about him than anyone else.

“I mean a lot of people saying a lot of different things about the record. For me, the record is self-explanatory,” Ray J insisted. “Like I tell everybody, I’m not trying to put fuel on the fire. You know what I’m saying? We just want people to enjoy the record. It’s more so about me than anybody else.”

During the interview, Kanye West, Kardashian’s current boyfriend and the father of the child she is now carrying, was mentioned. Ray J was asked if Kanye has a reason to be angry about the song. He simply responded that he doesn’t believe that anyone should be mad about something that happened in the past.

“I don’t think nobody should be upset about something that really happened,” said Ray J. “I think when people do music everybody talks about they life and what they go through. This just my chapter and I think people need to look at it like that and don’t look at it for nothing more than that.”
