Rick Ross Hires 24/7 Armed Security After Murder Attempt

Over the past few days there has been a lot of activity flowing around the highly publicized attempt on Rick Ross’ life several days ago. What initially seemed like a random act of violence or a robbery attempt is looking more and more like a hit attempt.

According to a report by TMZ, Rick Ross, is now taking recent death threats more seriously after being shot at early Monday morning after leaving a Miami Night Club where he celebrated his birthday. While attempting to escape the gun fire, Ross wrecked his Rolls Royce Phantom into a building, but neither he nor his female passenger were injured by the gunfire or the car accident. The rapper has now hired around the clock armed personal security. Before the incident, Ross only used bodyguards for public events, but has now opted for 24 hour protection.

Sources reveal that the Maybach Music Group CEO has been receiving death threats for some time now, but he did not take them serious. Monday’s incident has caused him to shift his thinking on the matter.

A number of people have weighed in on the matter since news of the incident broke. 50 Cent, the longtime nemesis of Ross, accused the rapper of staging the entire thing. “Freeway” Ricky Ross, the farmer drug kingpin from whom Ross grafted his stage name, says that he is not surprised that there was an attempt on Ross’ life. He sighted the reason for the attempt being that Ross does not understand the rules of the street and it is consequentially coming back to bite him.
