As we reported yesterday [read here], shots were fired when Rick Ross took the stage at his charity event yesterday and now more information is starting to come out. Reports now state that an argument across the street from the event escalated and anywhere from 10-12 shots were fired into the air causing the crowd to flea the area.
Rick Ross spoke to the Broward-Palm Beach News about the event saying "It’s another day in the city, I’m a keep it real," continuing, "I feel like all the kids came and they left safe. Some dudes had a squabble on the side of the road and whatever happened happened, but other than that, all the kids got to see Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Brisco and we all had a good time."
The annual event provides school supplies to local children, registers people to vote and even provides free HIV/AIDS testing. "Oh I’m a do it every year,” Rick Ross said. “You gotta be a leader. You gotta stand for something and represent for something and that’s what the kids need to see to get motivated to do bigger and better things in their own lives."
