Rihanna recently gave a little more insight into what caused the infamous incident with ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown. In a new interview with W Magazine, Rihanna opened up about what she feels caused much of the problem. "There were control issues, insecurity," she explained. "When people are insecure, they become very controlling and they can get very aggressive and in turn abusive. It doesn't have to be physical. Like, they would say bad stuff to you to make you feel lesser than them, just so they would have control in the relationship. It takes a big toll on your emotions and on your everyday life. It changes you." [Rihanna - Talks Chris Brown Influence On Her Album - Watch Here]
Previously, Rihanna was on "20/20" where she broke down the invents of the February 2009 fight with her ex. "I caught him in a lie, and he wouldn't tell the truth. And I wouldn't drop it," the singer told Diane Sawyer. "I couldn't take that he kept lying to me, and he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it. It escalated into him being violent towards me. And it was ugly." [Rihanna - Talks About Chris Brown - Watch Here]
