Run-DMC will become the latest rap group slash artists to be featured in an upcoming movie. Biggie Smalls' "Notorious" biopic screenwriter Cheo Hodari Coker will adapt Bill Adler's authorized biography on the group called "Tougher Than Leather: The Rise Of Run-DMC."
Filmmakers will focuss on the history of Run-DMC members Joseph "Run" Simmons, Darryl
"DMC" McDaniels and Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell, who was shot to
death in his Queens studio in 2002. The Run-DMC film will follow rap-bio-based movies like Eminem's "8 Mile," 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin," and most recently Biggie Smalls' "Notorious."
