Album Sales Charts – Week Ending 1/17
Alicia Key’s Element of Freedom stays at the top of the charts falling only 1 postion to number 5 with selling forty seven thousand copies. The indi rock band Vampire Weekend ended up debuting at number 1 this week. With British singer Susan Boyle coming in at number 2. Omarion enters the charts this week with his new release Ollusion. Ollusion is Omarion’s third album and features Gucci Mane, Jay Rock, Tank and Marques Houston. However Ollusion only ended up selling twenty one thousand copies in its first week landing it at number 17.
Lil Wayne's Young Money compilation album stays steady sellling a little over twenty thousand this week, landing it at number 19. This can lead way for solo albums from Young Money artists like Drake and Nicki Minaj for after Lil Wayne’s Rebirth rock album. Eminem remained constant again this week selling fifteen thousand copies of his Relapse: Refill bringing it closer to 2 million
total sold.
