Rap Album Sales Chart for Week Ending March 29th
Was a busy week for Hip Hop finally after weeks of barely any releases we have three big releases hitting the charts. Taking the top hip hop album on the charts was Keri Hilson with 94,078 copies sold of her debut album In A Perfect World… .
Surprisingly Dipset favorite Jim Jones after all the months of promotion and big talk came in with only 42,818 copies sold. Probably with such poor performing and un-popular singles has something to do with the sales.
Slim Thug hits the charts for his sophmore independent album, Boss of all Bosses, with 32,479 copies sold, which asides been a short album is one of the best albums of ’09 so far. The album was pushed off to a great start with the Flock of Seaguls sampled single I RUN [watch video here]. The release is Slim’s first since his Interscope / Neptunes project 4 years ago, this time coming out under E1 Entertainment (formally Koch) If you havent copped Boss of all Bosses, be sure to go out out and cop it to support the Texas Boss Hogg Outlaw.
