Album Sales Charts – Week Ending 6/6
As we reported earlier today, the last week in May held the lowest album sales in, what experts are saying, the last 40 years. With that in mind, was the first week of June any better? Did it hold any hope for the future of the music business?
When it comes to hip hop and r&b… Usher leads the way this week keeping his spot at number 5 as his "Raymond vs Raymond" album sells just under 35,000 more copies while B.o.B gains four spots to land at number 13. The Black Eyed Peas get back into the top 20 (taking the 19th spot) while Nas & Damian Marley come in just behind the pop group.
Alicia Keys gains three spots to take the 26th spot this week while Ludacris also moves up as his "Battle Of The Sexes" pushes another 11,736 copies. Erykah Badu gets back into the top 50, landing at 37th with 9,119 more copies sold plus Lil Wayne gains 6 spots to 43rd.
