Album Sales Charts – Week Ending August 14th
As predicted, Kanye West and Jay-Z's new "Watch The Throne" album has debuted at number one this week with over four-hundred and twenty thousand copies sold in it's first week while Jigga's wife Beyonce kept her spot at number 8 as her "4" album sold just over twenty-seven thousand more units. Ace Hood's new "Blood Sweat & Tears" album lands at number 10, selling around twenty-five thousand copies in it's first week while Bad Meets Evil stays at number 12, dropping only 7% in sales from last week.
Kelly Rowland slipped eight spots to 22nd while Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame's new "Ferrari Boyz" collab album has a first week sales figure of just under 15 thousand copies (landing in 24th). Backed by a 9% gain in sales, Big Sean's "Finally Famous" album moved up one spot to 38th while Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" album drops seven spots to 41st. Eminem's "Recovery" album is close behind, taking the 42nd spot with over ten-thousand more copies sold while DJ Khaled drops 14 spots to 44th after a 25% drop in sales.
Pitbull's new "Planet Pit" album sales 22% less than last week, moving his spot from 33rd to 45th, Rihanna's "Loud' album only drops three spots (to 46th) due to only a 3% loss in sales plus Royce Da 5'9" has his new "Success Is Certain" solo album debut in 49th with 8,670 copies sold in it's first week.
