Album Sales Charts – Week Ending September 4th
After many news stories filled with all kinds of different predictions of Lil Wayne's first week sales totals, we now finally know for sure. Weezy's "Tha Carter IV" album debuts this week in the top spot withover a million units sold while Jay-Z and Kanye's "Watch The Throne" album dropped two spots to 4th. Beyonce's "4" album gains five spots to 7th after an 85% boost in sales from last week, Game's "R.E.D." album falls from 1st to 8th after selling 63% less and Bad Meets Evil lands in 19th with close to another eighteen thousand units scanned.
Selling 32% more this week than the last, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" album jumps twelve spots to 26th while Chris Brown also sells 32% this week moving him up six spots (to 41st). In contrast, Chris Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna moves 32% less this week, dropping her "Loud" album down twenty-three spots to 43rd, Pitbull also sold more this week (14% in fact) but he still lost three positions while Kelly Rowland sold 37% more this week moving her up four spots to 46th.
