Although the soundtrack is nothing but old songs of his, Michael Jackson had his "This Is It" movie soundtrack debut number one this week while Jay-Z drops from number 4 to 11th this week with another 40,855 cds sold plus Tech N9ne debut's his "K.O.D."
album in 14th with over thirty thousand copies. The next rapper on this
weeks charts is the newcomer Drake all the way down in 42nd as his "So Far Gone" re-release did close to thirteen thousand units sold. The Black Eyed Peas drop nine spots to 15th as their "E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies)" album sells close to another thirty-thousand copies. Beating 50 Cent's "10,000" prediction, Rick Ross and his Triple C's album sold a whopping 12,000 copies in their debut week.
On the R&B tip, Mariah Carey sold just over another 15 thousand copies of her new "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" album while Trey Songz comes in 48th with just under 12 thousand copies sold. Finishing up the R&B tip is Maxwell in 50th with 10,584 copies sold of his new "Blacksummersnight" album.
