Lil Wayne lost the top spot on this weeks sales charts to Coldplay, who moved 737,000 copies of their new album "Viva La Vida." With a huge first weeks sales of over a million copies, a sales rate drop of 69% is expected. Wayne didn't do to bad though, coming in second selling another 309,000 copies of Tha Carter III.
Although he fell from the number 2 spot to the number 5 slot, Plies did well selling another 68,000 copies of his "Definition Of Real." 2 Pistols debuted on the charts with his "Death Before Dishonor" selling just over 15,000 copies boosted by his T-Pain featured hit, "She Got It." The TMI Boyz moved up in the charts with a 109% increase, selling 18,000 copies of their "Grindin' For A Purpose."
Moving 8.3 million copies last week, album sales are down this week 10.6% and 6.7% from the same week of last year. Close to 197 million albums have been sold this year so far, which is 10.9% decrease from the same point last year.
