Schoolboy Q was recently involved in a shooting at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado after a performance. There was talk that the shooting was just a random act of violence, but Police have been convinced that it wasn’t random.
According to police, the Red Rocks shooting, that left three men injured, was likely targeted at Schoolboy Q.
““This is not just a coincidence. We think there is probably more to it than that,” a spokeswoman for Jefferson County’s Sheriff’s Department said via The Associated Press. “It does seem to be more targeted than random.” (HipHopDX)
TDE rapper SchoolboyQ was detained by police after being shot at multiple times after his show last night. The show took place at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater and featured Flying Lotus and Nas along with Q. The Denver Post first broke the story.
“A man armed with a rifle fired multiple shots into an SUV carrying hip hop artist Schoolboy Q and three others after a performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Thursday night. Three of the men were wounded, and the gunman is being sought.
Schoolboy Q, Quincy Matthew Hanley, 27, of Los Angeles, was not injured. He was in the vehicle, which sped from Red Rocks Park, was followed by police, and was eventually stopped in Denver at West Sixth Avenue and Kalamath Street.
Three others in the SUV with Hanley were hit by the gunfire and taken to Denver Health Medical Center. One was treated and released and the other two suffered wounds that are not life-threatening, said Mark Techmeyer, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.”
