Big Snoop Dogg Continues To Give Back With Snoop Youth Football League

Big Snoop Dogg continues has many ventures but the one close to his heart would probably be his Snoop Youth Football League. He is about to host his third annual Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) benefit concert.

The big event which will take place Saturday (Dec. 15), not to mention being sold out, is at the House of Blues in L.A., is designed so that the 2,500 kids in the league have new uniforms, transportation, lodging and food for the upcoming Snoop Bowl.

The big game will be held in Arizona during Super Bowl weekend.

For Snoop Dogg the SYFL is an effort he doesn’t take lightly.

"I am as committed to the SYFL as I am to any of my other interests — it ranks as high, if not higher than the others for me," the rapper revealed. "The kids in the league depend on me to keep it going and giving 100 percent of the sales from this concert is my way of making it happen for all of them."

Comprised of 12 different chapters, the SYFL was created by Snoop Dogg to give inner-city kids — who otherwise would not be able to play due to financial reasons — the opportunity to participate in organized sports.

The league stresses the importance of academics, discipline, and responsibility to at-risk youths by giving them a healthy alternative to negative influences such as gangs and violence.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the SYFL.

The league is among a string of endeavors involving Snoop Dogg.

The rapper, who is currently working on his ninth album, is featured on the new E! Entertainment Television reality show Snoop Dogg's Father Hood.
