Hit single, ringtone king and recent Ice-T beef master Soulja Boy is moving in a new direction with his success. The Atlanta rap star has signed a sneaker and clothing deal with Yums Shoes. The multi-year deal, which also includes Collipark Music/Interscope Records, will have Soulja Boy working with Yums to create his own signature shoe in the Yum's Block Star line that has graffiti art on the soles.
After selling over 3 million downloads of his hit single "Crank That," Steve Berman (Interscope's President Of Sales and Marketing) says "He built his own brand and we were lucky enough to work with him to take it
to the next level,” continuing, “Soulja Boy Tell’em’s innate sense for what his fans want
makes him the perfect artist to have a sneaker line…We’re excited to partner
with him.”
A shoe and clothing line deal isn't the only thing on the horizon from Soulja Boy "We are very excited and have high expectations for this opportunity and
future Soulja Boy Tell'em endeavors, including movies and television," Mr.
Collipark said.
