G-Unit Records does have other artists on it's roster besides the timely popular 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks. Besides the ledgendary Mobb Deep, west coast artist Spider Loc is signed to the popular label. His debut album, World Wide Web, has encountered numerous delays but Loc is staying positive,
"when Moses got to the Red Sea, it looked like it was the end, but God
was just setting the stage for him to be able to do something amazing,"
the rapper said of his label woes. "So I just have faith in Him that
the amazing shall manifest."
Spider Loc has been releasing a new mixtape every month as it gives him a way to give fans music while he waits to release his album. "The mixtape circuit, the internet, it is an outlet just to keep the fans with something fresh and new to keep biting on. Those that haven’t heard of it, I’m determined to give them something they can bite on."
Loc also just finished filming a movie with model/actress Vida Guerra. Described as a "murder drama suspense feature," it centers around Guerra, who plays a woman who runs a rims shop in LA. Spider Loc portrays a newly released prisoner who ends up working for her. Loc is also shooting a pilot for TV that he hopes HBO or Showtime pick up.
