Early this morning we lost one of the greatest ESPN commentators of all time- Stuart Scott. Scott lost his long time battle with cancer Sunday morning in a North Carolina hospital.
Scott’s love for Hip Hop was evident in his animated phrases and how he delivered the latest and greatest in sports. Last year he spoke with XXL about why he chose to infuse Hip Hop culture into his job.
“I like infusing [hip-hop] into what I do, because it’s part of who I am,” he said at the time. “You’ve got to be true to who you are and what you do. I’m more of a hip-hop feel person. Music is how you feel. The younger the mind, that’s how I wanna be. One of the reasons why I do my job the way I do it is because I want to let people know it does not have to be the way society says it has to be.”
Countless Hip Hop giants took to social media to pay respect to Scott, who was loved by the community.
Stuart Scott 1 of a kind. U will be missed forever
