Game Speaks To Students About Gang Violence
The Game will speak to a group of students in Newark, New Jersey about the consequences of gang violence. The compton rapper is the spokesperson for the city’s Peace in Our Streets rally. The talk will start at 3:30 p.m. EST Thursday (6/12) at the George Washington Carver School Playground.
Organizers say Game’s past trials and tribulations provide a solid basis for the rapper to encourage attendees to choose a different path follow this summer. "I know first hand what gang violence does to our community and that is why I'm doing ‘Peace in Our Streets’ today," The Game told AllHipHop.com, continuing "Even though I rap about my experience in my community and grew up in that environment doesn't mean I uphold its concepts."
