Posted By on December 6, 2006

"Behind The Grind," an exclusive four-part web mini-series chronicling the making of a mixtape by upstart emcee H.D. and the advice he receives from established rappers and industry execs, premieres on SOHH today (December 6).

The series, which will feature appearances from The Game, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Killer Mike, Mr. Collipark, Amanda Diva and Jimmy Rosemond, has the aforementioned emcees, executives and personalities giving H.D. insight on the industry's business and work ethic.

"Behind The Grind is my story, but it's also a template for up-and-coming emcees to follow," H.D. explained to SOHH. "The content is informational to aspiring rappers, but to the average viewer as well. At the same time, it provides comic relief, so viewers can learn all the while being entertained."

To coincide with the premiere of "Behind The Grind," H.D. will also release his mixtape "Almost Famous," hosted by comedian Donnell Rawlings aka Ashy Larry of "Chappelle's Show" fame, DJ Vlad ("Rap Phenomenon" series) and mixed by DJ Manifest. The mixtape features a guest appearance by Zakee of Pitch Black and production by Hi-Tek.
