A few days ago, MMG General Rick Ross dropped the highly anticipated Jeezy collab “War Ready“, off his upcoming “Mastermind” album. No one saw this collab coming, due to the countless feuds the two rappers have been in over the years. However, T.I. knew it was coming, on account of him being the one who initiated talks with both sides.
T.I. recently spoke to MTV and explained how it all went down.
“I ain’t gonna say I brokered peace and got them in the studio,” T.I. says during an interview with MTV. “One of my closest partners in the game, man — Young Jeezy — I simply said to him, ‘We done did as much as we can do with this. It’s gone as far as we can take it, ain’t nothing else to do if it ain’t nothing that can’t be talked about, that hasn’t gone so far that a muthafucka can’t come back and…do what the fuck we do, man. Get money.’ War costs money.”
Tip also went on to explain Jeezy’s mindset behind the reconciliation with Ross.
“Young ain’t the type of muthafucka you can just tell what to do, but if you can present something that makes more sense than what he had goin’ on, he will give you the opportunity to make it make sense to him,” T.I. says. “And I think the same for Ross.”
