Timbaland and Mims Take Home Honors At ASCAP Awards

    The ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards were recently held in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Timbaland took home the highly remarked Songwriter of the Year award and was recognized for his work on Omarion's "Ice Box" and Justin Timberlake's "My Love" which features T.I. plus "Until The End OF Time."

    New York rapper Mims took home one of the biggest awards. His “This Is Why I’m Hot” track won the top ringtone honor, selling over 1 million copies digitally while his album, Music Is My Savior, sold over 300,000 copies. Other winners at this years ASCAP awards included Timbaland who won Songwriter of the Year award. Timbaland produced  Fabolous won best Rap Song for "Make Me Better," while Robin Thicke won the best R&B Song for "Lost Without U."
