After a very trying week, it seems that veteran rapper Too Short will catch a much needed break. It was last week that the rapper was pulled over by the Los Angeles Police Department for a minor traffic violation and subsequently arrested for DUI.
During the arrest sequence, Short, was caught on film attempting to flee from the officers, but tripped while running. The rapper was later accused of attempting to discard of drugs while in the back seat of the police cruiser.
Later in the week, the rapper was released and the DUI charges were dismissed, but he still faced felony drug possession charges. Well, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office released a statement saying that they would not be pursuing felony possession charges against the rapper based on the small amount of drugs, apparently meth, that was found on the rapper by officers, coupled with the fact that he does not have a felony record.
The case will be forwarded to misdemeanor court for review.
What started out as a horrible nightmare may very well be a forgettable memory soon.
