Bun B Says He Isn't Part Of Koch Deal

As we reported yesterday [more here], Koch Entertainment recently purchased five urban record labels to expand their artist roster. Reports stated that the deal included UGK's Bun B but now the Texas rapper is saying that isn't true. “I do not have a label situation with Koch Records,” Bun B told AHH. “I am signed to Rap-A-Lot Records as a solo artist and Jive Records as the group UGK.”

The reports yesterday stated that Koch purchased Doc Music Group which apparently included Bun B, but the UGK rapper says he isn't part of the group, rather only did a guest appearance with those artists. “They are trying to release a mixtape from a group affiliated with me,” he stated. “I am only featured on the project. I have not been a part of any negotiations with this project. Hopefully this statement clears any misunderstandings.”
