Wale Confronts NBA Commentators For Perceived Insulting Comments

Posted By on February 22, 2013

Maybach Music Group emcee Wale, did not take too kindly to statements made by two NBA commentators at a Wizards and Rapters game in the Nation’s Capital last night. Wale heckled Rudy Gay in a manner that was impactful enough to garner a response from the NBA star. The commentators that were calling the game became aware of the situation and started a short dialogue concerning the rapper. The dialogue labeled Wale as a “Well-known local rapper” also adding “he’s not Drake, that for sure.”

“A fan heckling him and supposedly, this fan is a well-known local rapper. Wall-ay. Locally, here,” said one commentator. “Wale is inspiring. I’m sure somebody on Twitter could tell me if they exactly had ever heard of Wale. He’s not Drake, that’s for sure.”

Wale, a Washington D.C. Native, who was sitting courtside, left his seat to confront the commentators about what they had just said about him. A video of this confrontation has been posted on YouTube (the video is without audio, however)

The Maybach signee recently dropped his mixtape “Folarin” and he is currently preparing to release either an album or mixtape entitled “The Album About Nothing with comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
